Swisscontact – Waste to Value Project
The Waste to Value project, supported by the Swiss Foundation for Technical Cooperation and Swisscontact works to strengthen business operations, and improves workplace safety, for informal waste pickers increasing their income and quality of livelihood. This is complemented with awareness raising among small and medium enterprises of the service sector and the wider population along with encouraging public-private consultation meetings in line with national and municipal government strategies.
Civitas developed a full training module in essential soft skills to support the informal waste pickers in the target districts improve their business operations.
