HappyTap – WaterSHED Holdings Pte Ltd
Civitas has partnered with HappyTap, developer and manufacturer of portable handwashing stations. Together Civitas and HappyTap aim to set a new normal for hand hygiene in schools, health facilities, offices, communities and homes.
The HappyTap with its innovative design is the next generation portable sink, enabling instant installation of handwashing stations where needed. So far 230 HappyTaps have been installed in Quarantine Centres across two provinces in Lao PDR. Additionally, Civitas is implementing HappyTaps in schools as part of a Happy Hands package. With the aim to place at least one handwashing station in each classroom to allow sufficient handwashing to efficiently lower the risk of COVID-19 virus transmission and engage students in the planning, installation, maintenance and monitoring of handwashing to encourage student ownership and demand. A pilot was created in partnership with SOS Children’s Villages- Hermann Gmeiner Schools where 124 HappyTaps were placed in 13 schools along with the entire package
