World Food Programme has provided long-term support to the Government of Laos to improve the nutritional status of Lao children. By providing support to develop school gardens and kitchens to feed children in school, educational attainment rates, and nutritional levels, are expected to improve.
Civitas, as the local implementing partner of this mid-term evaluation, has been contracted by NRMC to support the design, and the implementation of, data gathering. Evaluation tools include literacy assessments on children using the Early Grade Reading Assessment (EGRA) toolkit and key stakeholder interviews. As of late 2021 when Covid-19 restrictions have curtailed travel throughout Laos, these methodologies have been adapted for remote data collection work.
