Pum Anh
UNICEF and the Ministry of Education and Sports concerned about school dropout rates, engaged Civitas and Phum Anh to investigate the reasons behind the increasing rates of dropouts in primary and secondary education across the country.
Civitas and Phum Anh worked with the Research Institute of Educational Science (RIES) to implement the Qualitative Study on Student Dropout. In addition to gathering information from informants at school, village and district level, the study provided practical recommendations for mitigation steps at each level.
Civitas was responsible for developing data gathering tools, collecting data in 6 provinces, conducting data entry and analysis, and contributing to a final report discussing trends across the country and providing recommendations.
