Theun-Hinboun Power Company
The Theun-Hinboun Power Company implements one of the largest hydropower projects in Lao PDR. The company is committed to contributing to the economic and social development of the country and operations are designed to meet at minimum the standards of the Equator Principles and Asian Development Bank Safeguard Policies.
In order to monitor the socio-economic development in project affected areas, THPC conducts an annual survey of socio-economic outcomes in affected villages. Civitas has completed data collection for this survey, including a comprehensive income and consumption questionnaire, in years 2020, 2021 and 2022 until all villages had reached socio-economic development targets.
