Theun-Hinboun Power Company
THPC is one of the largest hydropower projects in Lao PDR. The company is committed to contributing to economic and social development of the country and operations are designed to meet at minimum the standards of the Equator Principles and Asian Development Bank Safeguard Policies.
In order to monitor the socio-economic development in project affected areas, THPC conducts an annual survey of socio-economic outcomes in affected villages. Civitas has completed this survey, which includes a comprehensive income and consumption questionnaire, in 2020 and 2021.
