Plan International – WASHIC
The overall objective of the Plan WASHIC project is “to improve the status of reproductive health and reduce maternal, newborn and child mortality and morbidity, including malnutrition, in Lao PDR (RMNCH Strategy 2016-2025). In addition to health and nutrition, a special focus is put on addressing unhealthy nutrition practices and climate-resilient practices.
The baseline survey, implemented by Civitas, aimed to establish the initial levels of the indicators outlined in the project results framework, encompassing both quantitative and qualitative aspects. This baseline data will be used as a reference point for evaluating program outcomes. Additionally, the qualitative components of the survey aimed to collect information on current knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) related to MNCH, nutrition, gender, disability, and WASH. This holistic approach sought a nuanced understanding of power dynamics and social norms in the project area.
