Conducting a standalone social rights analysis for the ProFEB │││ project in Laos. The ProFEB project has four components: the nomination of the Hin Nam No National Park as an UNESCO World Heritage Site, the conclusion of the Voluntary Partnership Agreement between Laos and the European Union within the framework of the Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade process, the establishment of a network for environmental education and awareness, and a new thematic area on combatting the illegal wildlife trade.
The rights analysis of this project contextualizes the national and international framework and how that is integrated into implementation in Lao PDR, investigates the extent to which previously proposed measures from past analysis have been sufficiently realised, and examines unintended risks to social rights from project activities and presents mitigation activities.
