Phu bia Mining – Sustainable Livelilhoods Programme
The Sustainable Livelihood Programme (SLP) of Phu Bia Mining (PBM) is a five-year (2018- 2022) program that aims to establish improved livelihoods by developing One District One Product (ODOP) for Anouvong District, Xaysomboun province, Laos. The program also aims to build the capacity of provincial and district agencies to deliver effective extension of services in a sustainable manner, and to put in place a land use framework to facilitate a return to agriculture within a clear and sustainable framework in five villages.
Civitas’s role was to review, evaluate and document the SLP achievements from the delivery of the program over five years from 2018-2022 for effectiveness, relevance, efficiency, and sustainability. Civitas Team also delivered the key findings and achievements from SLP for the past five years from the evaluations of senior management of Phu Bia Mining and related local government agencies in Xaysomboun Province through meetings and workshops. Lastly, Civitas provided input to review and finalize SLP goals, objectives, and strategies rategy for 2023-2026.
