The Government of Laos has put safe and sustainable mineral exploration at the heart of its economic strategy for the future, and Rio Tinto Exploration is interested in the potentials for partnership in various locations across Laos.
Civitas is supporting Rio Tinto’s interest in Lao PDR by creating information dossiers that explain some of the legal, environmental, social and cultural aspects of land allocation, land use planning, community based agricultural and livelihood strategies, and the regional and ethnic differences found across the country.
